Earlier today Palm accidentally displayed several photos and videos of their new Treo Pro (formerly thought to be the Treo 850) smartphone on their website. As per what always happens on the internet, the media was quickly snatched up before Palm had a chance to pull it down, and can now be found across the web. This is the second flub within a week for Palm. Last week an internal presentation was accidentally leaked. The highly anticipated Treo Pro is the newest incarnation of the company's popular line of Windows Mobile handsets. The Pro is expected to be available soon and will most likely cost a bit more than the $99 Centro. According to the leaked presentation the Treo Pro will run on Windows Mobile 6.1. It will also support the full array of connectivity, including quad-band GSM, tri-band 3G HSDPA 3.6 data, a GPS chipset, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR.
It will have a 2.4", 320 x 320 pixel resolution touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will have a 400 MHz processor and 128 MB RAM. It will feature a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD slot as well.
The design seems more polished and refined than previous Treos, probably to compete with the iPhone for an increasingly design conscious audience.
The Pro will supposedly come in either black or white and is rumored to be released by either AT&T or T-Mobile, unlike its predecessor the Treo 800w, which is only available through Sprint.
